Products Overview

The LM10 and LM20 systems enable users to view the sample under analysis and use our Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) technology to calculate the particle size and size distribution.

Ideally suited to research laboratories, the NanoSight LM10 is based around a conventional optical microscope equipped with a digital camera. Nanoparticles in suspension are visualised directly when illuminated using laser light over an optically opaque background allowing them to be sized and counted with the NTA software package. Results are displayed as a frequency size distribution graph and output to spreadsheet. Video clips of images can also be captured and archived for future reference.

Within the NanoSight LM20, the viewing unit, microscope element and camera are integrated to form an easy-to-use unit. Samples are introduced into the viewing unit using a disposable syringe and a view of any particles is instantly shown on the computer display. Again, our NTA software rapidly determines the particle size and displays the results and allows video clips to be retained.

Both products perfectly complement Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) instruments, bringing:

1. Significantly lower purchase cost.
2. Zero calibration and rapid system-ready time.
3. An information-rich view of particles in motion.
4. Particle by particle size analysis.
5. Better identification and resolution of polydisperse systems.
6. No requirement for refractive index data.
7. No disposables needed.
