The NanoSight NS200

NanoSight's NS200 is a compact, low footprint version of NanoSight’s High Sensitivity technology used in the LM10-HS and NS500. The optics are contained within a customised housing ideal for use within inks, paints and pigment manufacturing, chemical and petrochemical industries and vaccine and biopharmaceutical manufacturers. Using the standard LM12 laser module with either a red or blue laser, this instrument generates identical results to that obtained with the LM10-HS instrument.

The configuration of choice for the study of weakly scattering (e.g. biological and small >10-15nm) nanoparticles:

Specification

  • Nanoparticle analysis range: typically 10 nm - 1000 nm, dependent on particle material
  • Particle type: any
  • Solvent: any non-corrosive solvent and water. A range of solvent-resistant seals are available.
  • Power requirement (own adapter supplied): 110-220V
  • Laser output: 40mW at 640 nm (Class 1 Laser Product)
  • Sample volume requirements: 0.3 ml

Application

The NS200 is proven with most nanoparticle classes down to 10 nm (dependent upon particle type) dispersed in a wide range of solvents:

  • Ceramic and metallic nanoparticles
  • Pharmaceutical nanoparticles - liposomes
  • Viruses
  • Carbon nanotubes (multi-walled)
  • Colloidal suspensions and polymer nanoparticles
  • Cosmetics and foodstuffs
  • Nanoparticles in fuels and oils (soot, catalyst, wax etc.)
  • Wear debris in lubricants
  • Chemical Mechanical Polishing Slurries
  • Nanotoxicology studies

NTA Software

The NTA Analytical Software suite offers:

  • Real-Time dynamic nano-particle visualisation
  • Particle-by-particle analysis
  • Particle counting and sizing
  • Particle size distributions displayed as histograms
  • Data output to spreadsheet
  • Video clip capture
